As the press service of “miners,” medical service of “Shakhtar” received the results of PCR tests on COVID-19 players of the national team of Ukraine, which were delivered them the day before their departure to the national team. Pyatov and Stepanenko, as well as two FC employees, tested positive.

Note that both Pyatov and Stepanenko took part in Sunday’s match of the Ukrainian championship “Desna” – “Shakhtar” (3:3). The reaction of the club from Chernihiv to the incident is still unknown.

Now “Shakhtar” in full force goes to self-isolation on the order of the sanitary doctor supervising the club. On Monday and Thursday, all players, coaches and first-team staff will undergo additional testing, after which further actions will be determined.

Pyatov and Stepanenko will miss the October matches of the Ukrainian national team against France (sparring), as well as Germany and Spain (in the framework of the UEFA Nations League).
